Zom 100 just became good again! If you've been following me for a while know you'd know that I absolutely LOVE the Zom 100 Manga. However, as you also might know, I have been quite critical about the anime too, which surprised many of you!

And why have I been critical about the anime you ask? Well it's quite simple actually: it is adapting the manga a little too well. Meaning that the pacing of the anime is simply too slow. As of the making of this video we're at episode 9 and it wasn't until episode 8 that this anime FINALLY became good. Because guess what, the bestest girl ever was introduced in episode 8: Beatrix!

For those not in the know, Beatrix Amerhauser is the ultimate Japanophile: she LOVES anything Japan-related and even went as far as to learn the language, even though she has never visited Japan before! それはどんな感じなんだろうね...

After finally arriving in Japan our good pal Bea is struck by the realization that she'll never get to experience the authentic Japan that she has dreamt of, because after arriving in the Land of the Rising Sun she finds out that the country is overrun by the Walking Dead! No, not the Walking DAD! The walking dead, yeah, those guys! I need a new editor... (editor's note: screw you too Razovy kissy face)

When Akira and the gang meet Bea, they at first want to help her out as it seems like she's in quite a pickle. It turns out though that this German female samurai can take of herself thank you very much. Slashing through zombies as if they were butter, Beatrix saves herself and is now left standing face to face with her newfound companions: our hero Akira, the player Kenchou and the ever so lovely, yet way to preppy Shizuka. Having read all of the currenly available chapters I know that there are plenty of AWESOME adventures these 4 are going to embark on, but for now let's only focus on the anime as I think it's safe to assume most of you haven't read a single page of this gem. The reason that Zom 100 is finally getting good again is because the gang is finally complete! It took way to long to get to this point and that's quite a shame, taking into consideration that this anime only has 12 episodes in total. And to be honest, I doubt that there will be a second season with all of the delays and other shenanigans that happened behind the scenes during the making of this anime.

The Zom 100 Anime spend too much time on flashing out Akira. 2 Episodes would've been enough: we get it, he's depressed, works for a horrible company that exploits him and he's glad that he never has to go to work anymore. MOVE ON WITH THE STORY!

Not all of it was done poorly though. Shizuka is an integral part of the story and the main love interest, so having her be this mysterious person for several episodes actually made sense. Nontheless, I wish we would've gotten out of the city earlier as the real story starts when the gang leaves Tokyo.

So now that we finally have Beatrix joining up with the rest of the gang the real story can start and yes, I would HIGHLY advice you to read the manga when the anime is finally done airing because the pacing is simply way better.
