I head out to the Marble Mountain Sno Park at Mount Saint Helens to continue my learning process of how to do this back country cross country skiing. The weather was perfect but the snow was not. It was a little icy. I am using the Fischer S Bound 98 Ski. I had purchased some Fischer EZ skins for the skis so I thought I would put them on to see if they would make a difference with the snow conditions. The skins were defective from the factory and could not be used.

I tried skijoring for the first time with my 1 year old Labrador Retriever, Gracie Girl, back to to the truck. My Plan B to escape the matrix was to put on some hiking boots and grab some snow shoes and head up the mountain to do a loop on the Pika trail through June Lake and back to the lot. I made it out to the snow covered Lava fields to enjoy the beautiful site which lasted a few moments until a white out fog arrived. I retraced my steps back to the snow park.
