Is your shower handle hard to turn on or off or does it leak? This video will show you how to replace the cartridge in the shower valve. This video also shows how to replace a cartridge in a transfer valve (a valve that diverts the water from the shower head to body spray jets). This video uses a cartridge pulling tool, although you could use pliers or channel locks. This will fix your shower so that it turns on and off easily while also stopping leaks.

This shower valve uses Moen cartridges # 1225 for the shower valve (the bottom cartridge) and #1200 for the transfer valve (the top cartridge).
