When I wrote 'Addicted' the bulk of the song came together in like 20 minutes. Sometimes that happens with songs. Lyric writing can very much be like a jigsaw puzzle, you get words and then need to fit words in the next phrase that rhyme or go together etc, but this came out so easy it was like every phrase there was the perfect rhyming word there for the previous phrase. It's all about writing the perfect song, where everything fits together in a perfect little package that makes perfect sense. Sometimes it can be incredibly hard to get right and you're banging your head against a brick wall for days to find that perfect phrase, but othertimes like this song, it all literally worked itself out in 20 minutes. The song is almost like a riddle, or even has the feel of a limerick.

I guess the song about being addicted to someone or even something....
