With millions of photographs and videos being captured around the world every single day, it’s important that we all take a moment to reflect on the images that serve as a window to the past.
  
In the first episode of the series, we delve into the impact that moving pictures had when it was introduced to viewer’s screens almost 130 years ago. Used to bring the people at home news from the frontline during the First and Second World War, as well as the latest cinematic releases, this new technology unfortunately paved the way for the propagandist.  

In a bid to tackle this growing trend of misinformation, the government decided to create a department called the Ministry of Information, in which it would train soldiers to also be cameramen in order to capture and document what was really happening… even if it put their lives at greater risk.
