This is a review on the Spider-Man series that stars Andrew Garfield, The Amazing Spider-Man. After Peter Parker is bitten by a genetically altered spider, he gains newfound, spider-like powers and ventures out to save the city from the machinations of a mysterious reptilian foe.

Starring Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans, Irrfan Khan, Denis Leary, Martin Sheen, Sally Field, Campbell Scott, Embeth Davidtz, Chris Zylka, Max Charles, C.Thomas Howell, Jake Keiffer, Kari Coleman, Michael Barra, and Leif Gantvoort.

Peter Parker is an outcast high schooler who was abandoned by his parents as a little boy, leaving him to be raised by his Uncle Ben and Aunt May. Like most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he really is and how he got to be the person he is today. Peter is also finding his way with his first high school crush, Gwen Stacey, and together, they struggle with love, commitment, and secrecy.

As Peter finds a mysterious briefcase that once belonged to his father, he begins a quest to understand his parents disappearance- leading him directly to Oscorp and the labs of Dr. Curt Connors, his father’s former partner. As Spider-Man is set on a collision course with Connor’s alter-ego, The Lizard, Peter will make life-altering choices to use his powers and shape his destiny to become a hero!

Overall, this was a great movie! I give it a double thumbs up, and I rate it a 10 out of 10 stars!
