Margot McKinnon began his career as a high school English teacher. Her most precious memories are those of the help she gave to students in difficulty. His unconventional teaching methods have allowed students to reach levels they never imagined. When her book The Exquisiteness of Being Human took off, she became an in-demand speaker. She organizes workshops and offers private sessions in the evenings and weekends to meet demand. Soon after, the secondary activity was destined to become the main activity. Margot developed a bold vision. She decided to share her teaching methods with the whole world.

The first step in her bold vision was for Margot to realize a long-held ambition: to obtain a doctorate from the University of Oxford. His thesis focused on how to integrate the concept of spirituality into public education. After graduating and returning to Canada, Margot wrote her second book: The Dominance Theory: A guide to elevating your 5 dimensions of self. We are all on a spectrum regarding the degree of development or health of each of our 5 dimensions. With The Dominance Theory, Margot helps people recognize which of the 5 dimensions dominate their personality and which have atrophied and become dormant. His theory conceptualizes the 5 dimensions as follows:

The body: Physical/material
The mind: Logical/Systematic
Spirit: Unconditional Love/Eternal Self
Soul: meaning/purpose
Unit: Connection/Belonging

Margot's book is a process of awakening. As an educator, Margot argues that the school "system" is too dominated by the mind and that it needs to do more to take into account the minds, souls and unity of children. Complete with self-inventories and conversation guides, The Dominance Theory is a practical and inspiring guide to activating the mysterious potential you know is there but haven't yet tapped into.
