Dear Friends, here is my recent recording and full, mostly chest-voice, belting-style version of "The Man I Love". This as you know, is not the voice you are used to hearing me sing with, but it was a spur-of-the-moment desire to experiment with this lower key and style, and to challenge myself to explore what I typically have been a bit fearful of delving into, not always liking the sound, when it is not "pretty"...but the character and life experience in this sound turned out fun, I think! As some of you may know, I've been a life-long fan of great vocal jazz and greatly written big ballads with big bands...and that I have a background in jazz, starting back in high school...some of the best days of my life!
