The default firmware that comes with most Creality printers (including the Ender 3/Ender 3 Pro) does not have thermal runaway protection, which can lead to your printer overheating or potentially catching on fire. In this video, I show you how to fix that by updating the printer’s firmware to one that has this protection along with other features.

The first part of the video is installing a bootloader on the printer to allow it to load other firmware. This is a one-time process that opens the door for you to be able to do much more with the printer, including upgrading the firmware. The second part is actually pushing the new firmware to the printer.
