This video reviews the factors that must be present for cardiac reentry to occur, explains the concept of the "excitable gap," demonstrates how pacing can be used to "take over" a circuit (entrainment of the circuit), and shows how bipolar electrogram recordings are interpreted in the context of entrainment pacing to identify the size and location of a reentry circuit. The post-pacing interval concept is discussed in great detail, both as a concept and in a real patient case example. I hope you enjoy the presentation!
