SO it turned out I mixed the epoxy resin to the wrong ratio on the first attempt. I do prefer the look of the second attempt though. It would have been a nightmare to try to remove all the bad resin and would have had to ruin the burned wood effect so had to start from scrath unfortunately.
Still workign on the rest of the kitchen but hopefully wont be another 2 months before the next video :)
