I am fixing the roof on our composting toilet and shower in paradise. We live in a small New Zealand beach town.

For the exterior, I am using board and batten, with plywood as the board.

I am building a composting toilet and an outdoor shower with a view. My aim is to make this as beautiful as possible and not an ugly long drop in the woods.

I also want to leave some of the walls off, so I can make as much of the view as possible.

We are setting up a small #offgrid #homestead on a section we recently bought after emigrating from the UK to NZ looking for a simpler life. Unlike most #schoolies our bus is a little older, built in 1968. We are busy planting trees, growing our own food and setting up solar panels, water collection and grey water irrigation systems.
