It's time to rewire the bike to create a stable electrical system. The bike was full of electrical gremlins, the worst of which was a tendency to drain a battery until it was stranded among all of the lights failing. An M unit is a great way to make things work exactly how YOU want. And no, they didn't pay me to say that.
