This Holiday Season Give The Gift Of Hope And Happiness.
Our tiny Salvation Army of only 15 church members and no paid employees was able to hire a part time secretary that speaks Spanish.
In 2021, the population of Bridgeton was 26,610.
In 2020, 50.8% or 13,500 of the population is Hispanic.
35.1% of the population are determined to have poverty status thus, giving the Salvation Army Corp of Bridgeton missionary status meaning that the community is unable to sustain the daily needs of the Salvation Army. Despite these facts, We gave out 346 Thanksgiving Baskets to the Community this Thanksgiving.
The Bridgeton Salvation Army has been serving Bridgeton since 1891 and has made a promise to God and Country never to leave.
This Salvation Army has helped me in my hour of need. This Salvation Army has hugged me when I cried. This Salvation Army has comforted me in my loneliness. This Salvation Army has accepted me for the person I am without passing judgement. They have done the most good in my life. Loving me sometimes more than I love myself. They offered hope and prayed with me.
Because of the blessing that the Salvation Army has been to me, I now give my heart to God and hands to man through my volunteering whenever I can and giving whatever I can.
And so I come to Social Media not to ask for me, but I ask the Lord if he can bless the Salvation Army through you. Any gift you give to the Bridgeton Salvation Army would mean so much to me and help the Salvation Army continue to give hope and happiness to this community.
