There have been a handful of great books released over the years. As technology and especially exploit mitigations have improved the requisite knowledge has moved on. Are old books teaching arguably dated techniques still relevant to learning modern exploit development?
In particular we consider the relevancy of Hacking: Art of Exploitation when it comes to newcomers to exploit development, but the same ideas apply to other books also.
