On the night of Saturday 9 March 2024, the frigate Iver Huitfeldt was in direct combat against enemy drones for the first time. In an hour-long confrontation, the crew shot down four drones that took off from Houthi-controlled areas in Yemen. The attack was part of a coordinated attack against coalition ships and civilian shipping traffic.
