You can buy books of "patterns" very cheaply at just about any general merchandise store; often for as cheaply as $1! Just remember to credit the source of your patterns and never sell projects you make from other peoples' artwork unless you have permission to do so. You can make and own them - even give them as gifts in most cases - but the moment you sell them you may be in violation of copyright laws.
