Not all FJ40s are created equal. There were drastic improvements made starting in 1974. The later model FJ40s were much more drivable on and off road. It's common to retrofit the features of the newer ones on the older ones, and combined with some of the best aftermarket add-ons, you can build a very sweet, but mostly Toyota FJ40!
