The Kia EV6, introduced in March 2021, has earned recognition globally for its innovative design, efficiency, and advanced features. An updated version, reflecting customer feedback, is set to launch by next year. Recently, test prototypes in South Korea hinted at the changes in the new Kia EV6, showcasing a redesigned front bumper and new headlamps. These changes seem influenced by the recently unveiled EV3 and EV4 concepts.

Hyundai Motor Group, which owns Kia, has settled into the habit of updating its EVs sooner than usual to stay competitive. The new EV6 aims to match the design language of its siblings, the EV9 and future EV3 and EV4 models. Inside, while exact details are unknown, it's likely to adopt features from the EV9 and EV5, such as a column-mounted gear selector and a more spacious and sleek interior design. The infotainment system is expected to upgrade to a Triple Panorama Display, compatible with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a feature that is notably absent in today's car.

In the U.S., the EV6 is currently available with two battery options, delivering ranges of up to 310 miles. The new EV6 might include a larger 84 kWh battery, borrowed from the Ioniq 5 N, enhancing its range to over 325 miles. This battery boasts improved energy density due to advanced materials and optimized design, a technology expected to be used in future Kia models, including EV6 GT variants.

The 2025 model of the new EV6 is anticipated to arrive at U.S. dealerships in the second half of next year, with prices starting around $42,000. It will compete with familiar rivals like the Hyundai Ioniq 5, Nissan Ariya, Subaru Solterra, and Toyota bZ4X.
