The future of the UK cast metals industry will depend upon bringing new people to the industry and making sure they have the necessary training and skills transferred to them from the current generation of foundry tutors and mentors.
This webinar, to celebrate the achievements of the some of the apprentices on programme at the ECMS, National Foundry Training Centre was delivered by the West Midlands, Birmingham and Coventry Branch of the ICME on Monday 7th February 2022.
ICME members were able to hear from some of the apprentices about their experiences on the Metal Casting, Foundry and Patternmaking Apprentice programme and their hopes for the future, as well as from the tutors who are helping to prepare them for their careers in the industry.
