"Chorinho no. 3" by Alejandro Mejia Sanchez. This charming piece by Argentinian composer Alejandro Mejia Sanchez was a treat as well as a challenge to perform. The prettiness of the music belies its technical difficulties; don't be fooled, this is the most strenuous barre chord exercise I personally have endured since the final movement of "La Catedral" by Agustin Barrios-Mangore! "Chorinho no. 3" was an interesting performance project for me, as it's so different culturally and stylistically to my usual remit. The challenge for me was to play it in my own style, while hopefully also doing justice to the cultural and technical background of Mejia Sanchez' work.
