This is the first episode of a grapefruit growing series. I got off to a smooth start in a growing medium that could be around 95% sand, 5% clay soil, or maybe an even higher percentage of sand. I fertilized once with after 4 weeks with chemical fertilizer supplemented with crushed vitamin powder to provide for complete nutrition. I watered sparingly in the first 75 days. My seedlings only got direct sunlight in the AM hours, and there were many cloudy days.
