Peugeot is a company that's been enjoying something of a renaissance in the past couple of years. Many of its models have adopted new, more aggressive styling and more lustrous interior quality, and that's made them considerably more appealing to buyers. Now, it's the turn of the humble 308 hatchback to get similar treatment, and having traditionally been a rather humdrum choice in a class full of talent, it's a treatment that's badly needed. What's more, on top of the meaner looks and classier interior, Peugeot has also given the 308's technology a severe overhaul, including the introduction of this new plug-in hybrid version, in advance of a new all-electric version later in the year.
