Why should older people run more often? Exercise is good for the motor skills and memory. According to Professor Scherder, older people should therefore be encouraged to move more often.

This week in University of the Netherlands:
Neuropsychologist Erik Scherder!

Professor Erik Scherder (1951) is professor of Clinical Neuropsychology at the Vrije Universiteit (VU). He won the VU's Onderwijsprijs (education award) several times. Among other things, the jury wrote: "Erik is one of the few lecturers in which students have practically attended all lectures, no matter how nice the previous evening was, no matter what time it turned out, one simply does not skip Scherder's lectures."

About the University of the Netherlands:
The best professors in the Netherlands give free lecture on the internet. Every day a new lecture, and every week a new professor.

Attend a recording session? You can!
Four evenings per month we host lectures in Club AIR Amsterdam, and you can be there. During these evenings, we have five fifteen-minute lectures, followed by Q&A and meet and greet (because by then the professor will be a rock star). Highly recommended!
