This summer, the Division of the Social Sciences offered a new course for undergraduates, exploring GIS and spatial analysis tools in a social sciences context. The class included lectures, labs, and for many of the students, a research internship. Marynia Kolak, the course instructor, talks with two students, Tiye Stephens and Sam Joyce, about all three aspects of their experience.
