All Jeep Wrangler TJs have a major suspension issue in the rear...If I had bought my jeep with no intention of wheeling or lifting the jeep, then this would not matter... In the rear, the upper coil spring bracket/bucket is mounted on the frame at an angle, causing the rear springs to sit with a curve. The problem is that when I am flexed out, the spring literally pops OUT of place! While wheeling in Moab, this happened multiple times on the trails and our group had to help me get it back in place. It happened over and over, essentially wasting time on the trails when we could be wheeling. There is a simple solution to this, and that is what I did in this video! We grinded off the old curved upper coil spring brackets from the frame and welded new upper coil spring brackets to the frame to straighten out the spring. Now that the springs are sitting straight and have spring retainers on the upper and lower brackets, my spring will never pop out again when going up or down an obstacle!
