Deirdre Molumby chats to 'Wolfwalkers' directors Tomm Moore and Ross Stewart about their gorgeous new movie 'Wolfwalkers'.

*At the time of the interview, 'Wolfwalkers' was not confirmed for a cinema release in Ireland. It will now hit Irish cinemas from 4 December and premieres on Apple TV+ on 11 December.

'Wolfwalkers' hails from Cartoon Saloon, the Kilkenny based studio responsible for Oscar-nominated animated features 'The Secret of Kells', 'Song of the Sea', and 'The Breadwinner'

It follows a young apprentice hunter and her father who journey to Ireland to help wipe out the last wolf pack. But everything changes when she befriends a free-spirited girl from a mysterious tribe rumored to transform into wolves by night.

In this interview, directors Tomm Moore and Ross Stewart talk about their influences on the film, working with the legendary Sean Bean, the environmental message of the movie, and what it's been like working in animation in COVID times."
