In 1987 the Fox Body phenomenon was in its infancy. None of the parts and knowledge that are taken for granted today existed, and we were all flying by the seats of our pants. It was an era of constant experimentation, trial and error and drag racing 7 nights a week. But we had a challenge. Take our bone stock 87 LX and go head to head against not only modified cars, but one in particular that was backed by Ford itself...and for a brief moment, we led the pack.
