The oil pressure sensor is located way behind the intake manifold on LS engines, and the pressure sensor is a common point of failure. These parts allow you to relocate the sensor to a more accessible location. This is especially helpful on the C5 Corvette, where it is nearly impossible to change the sensor without removing the intake manifold. If you have a bad sensor on your C5 and plan to remove the intake, I would highly recommend that you relocate your sensor with these parts. Other GM, specifically the 5.3L have a screen beneath the pressure sensor, so you will either need a way to service the screen or completely remove it.
