In this video, we delve into the much-anticipated trailer for Deadpool and Wolverine, only to find ourselves scratching our heads. While that might not be much of a surprise to longtime viewers who are familiar with my issues with Marvel's Nostalgia Problem, I will admit that I did TRY to meet the trailer where it was at and didn't entirely hate it. Join us as we dissect the Deadpool 3 trailer and why the Deadpool & Wolverine trailer left me underwhelmed, especially considering the absence of Wolverine, the co-lead of the film. Despite being a teaser, it's puzzling why both titular characters weren't showcased together, a common practice in teaser trailers.

Moreover, with the knowledge of Wolverine's involvement, thanks to set photos and official announcements featuring Hugh Jackman, it's baffling why the trailer chose to keep him hidden. Wouldn't revealing him generate more excitement? If your movie is called Deadpool & Wolverine and not Deadpool 3, why not SHOW Wolverine?

While the trailer offers glimpses into Deadpool's foray into the Multiversal chaos with the TVA, it fails to deliver that knockout punch. There's some cool but bland looking action, Ryan Reynolds is doing is Deadpool thing, it all functionally works, but there's no real lasting impact and it's all overshadowed by the disappointment of Wolverine's absence. It appears Deadpool & Wolverine can't save the MCU.
