Looking for an overlook this is a great trail to grab your vehicle and go. do you really need 4x4, No. There were plenty of vehicles that were 2wd and funny thing is there was a Tesla and a Mercedes that drove down the trail just fine. Mostly its crushed gravel and some dirt. If you pay attention to the road this is how it is through out Buzzard Roost trail and Mount sterling Rd. If you have 2wd DO NOT GO DOWN old buzzard roost you will get stuck 100%. There are plenty of spots to visit and enjoy for camp or day camp. make sure you check local DNR rules for primitive camping there.
