One of the great things about the John Wick franchise is how every character has a clear and well-thought-out backstory, even though we only learn little pieces at a time. Ian McShane plays Winston, who runs the Continental Hotel in New York. Fans of the franchise know that the Continental Hotels all around the world serve as safe havens for assassins, as no one is allowed to harm each other while staying there.
