What is a Professional Business Email?

🎯 Okay, you might be wondering what exactly the difference is between an unprofessional email and a professional email account. Isn't email just, you know, email… Well, not all things are made equal, and there is a big difference. Now which one of these two emails on the screen seems professional?... And now? Right, simple, any email you get from Gmail, HotMail, or Yahoo won't be professional because everyone can just get an account here.

🎯 To have a business email, you'll have to have a domain name first. Can there be a completely free business email? Well, apart from the ones you get with hosting plans, not really. I mean, technically, we're looking at how to create a business email for free, since Hostinger allows you to have up to 100 accounts without an extra fee. But you'll still need to have hosting. In other words, a professional email account is an email with your domain name as its extension.

Create a Professional Email With Hostinger:

🔥 If you just bought Hostinger, you'll go through a very simple setup process to claim your free domain and set up a website. For everyone else, let's navigate to the main dashboard and from there, click Emails to start Hostinger email setup.

🔥 You should see all the Hostinger email accounts that your account has. Find your domain name here and select MANAGE. Choose what plan you want to go with. Naturally, select the Free plan. Now the next page is where you need to fill in your main details. These are - email name, you know, the thing that goes before @. I recommend going with something short, like INFO or HELLO, so that your customers would have an easier time remembering your content. Next, you'll need to come up with a password, and I probably don't need to tell you to make it a strong password. You don't want unwelcome guests in your inbox.

🔥 The last thing I highly recommend is to add a recovery email. Sometimes we all forget something, like the password to our business email. For example, it's good to have a backup in those times.

Create Forwarder

🧨 The only thing that is left is to create a forwarder. But what is a Forwarder? Well, all emails you receive on your business email account, the one we just created, will be forwarded to your personal Gmail account automatically. Meaning you have to check just one inbox and don't need to log in to Hostinger business email to see what's going on.

🧨 So let's set it up - once you're on Hostinger's email page, click your account, and then select Create Forwarder. Select the professional email account you want to link, and then type your personal account to where the emails should go. Save it, and that's it…
