While being invaded by their biggest foe, the English, Scottish nobles had their fair share of inter-clan rivalries. The Bruces, led by our boy Robert, and the Comyn's, rallying around John Comyn, claimed that the Scottish throne belong to their respected family.

After having a little bit of tension coming to this scene, Robert call John to rebel against the English and forget about their claims to throne. This was just after the first rebellion was a disaster and William Wallace was killed, and John said he wants nothing of his heroics and will tell King Edward himself about Robert's intentions. The rest is history for John... literally, these were his last words!
