If I Was Starting an Instagram Account in 2021 // Things I wish I'd known (Week 6)
In today's Mindset Monday video I want to share some things I wish I'd known when I was starting out on Instagram, so that you can avoid some of my mistakes I did and and instead focus on the things it takes to build a successful Instagram account in 2021.

Growing a following on Instagram is no simple task, but hopefully the tips and experiences I share in this video will help you see what really matters in the end to be able to grow a community and use Instagram to find your audience.

Finding your niche is important, but in the beginning I think it's actually better to try out and expreiment, because that's the best time to do it, and I'll tell you why in the video...

I spent so much time worrying about the numbers and comparing myself to bigger accounts when I was starting out on Instagram, even though, in the end, it's really not the numbers that will determine how successful you are.

I wish I'd spent that time and energy on creating and focusing on developing my skills instead, because those are the things that will set you apart form the competition in the end.

Right now Instagram Reels is the hot stuff so spending time and effort on creating those are a good idea, as the Instagram Algrithm seems to be favoring that content. But I wouldn't get too caught up in following the trends too much as I've learned that the thing that is most important online is to do things in your own distinctive style.
