The Harry Potter film franchise is one of those nearly-perfect film franchises that it almost feels wrong to complain about. Still, we’re going to anyway.

The massively successful film franchise adapted a great deal of JK Rowling’s sprawling wizard saga perfectly but there were a few details that eagle-eyed book lovers noticed were a little off.

Whether it was an incorrect eye color, teeth that were too straight or just details that were completely wrong, Potterheads were quick to take to the earliest messageboards of the internet to air their grievances over any little visual that didn’t align with their favorite series.

There were also instances where early art for the characters showed something very different than the designs we ultimately got.
