I looked long and hard before buying my first traditional style bushcraft knife. I compared famous and obscure brands, cost and materials, and I poured over reviews. Finally I decided on buying the Grizzly from TBS (The Bushcraft Store). With baited breath I waited as it went through customs where I live in Italy. Once it arrived I was amazed. The craftsmanship and quality were well beyond what I had expected. I have used and abused it since then, but I also take good care of it by honing it, oiling the blade, and using balm on the wooden handle. All of these are pleasures for me to do, as I bond with my gear and it relaxes me.
This knife is a bit large for intricate work. It is, as of this writing, the largest knife they make: but it's an absolute beast and a stalwart workhorse, able to conquer any camp chores.
