We're scooping up bargains and getting great ideas in this video! A last-minute appointment near Indianapolis leads us to the only estate sale in town, a large artist's home and studio with decades of books, art, garage items, kitchenware and surprises in hidden places! We send uranium glass, a carboy, a Kik-Step and blown stemware to the hold pile, then meet the delightful folks running the sale. The owner explains the joy to be found in estate sales and the importance of resurrecting antique and vintage items, while giving us some great deals!

Then it's on to Martinsville, Indiana, where I deliver the goods to a collector and take her tip to hit the Traderbaker's Flea Market in town! This is a huge place where local antique and vintage goods go to be sold (amongst everything from garage sale junk to new ATV's), and we find both real antiques and cool vintage that catches our eye all over! Thrifty prices on a 1970s designer stand, Victorian furniture, store display racks and wild MCM pottery and glass are enough to fill a shopping cart, and we take a lot home to show our collectors!

Knowledge is power for collectors, and we get some great tips and a fair warning in this video! We talk about why we even look at damaged stuff when it's new to us, and learn together how to tell the difference between a set of fake "1950s" wall pockets and the real thing. A chance encounter with a successful storage locker reseller tips us off on what lockers are more likely to have vintage stuff, and we leave edified and prepared for more antiquing adventures in the future!
