Headphones in, volume up. Have a listen to the new 2022 RS 5 with its 2.9L twin-turbo V6 and new exhaust system. Sounds good doesn't it? Audi seems to have remedied our main concern of the last 2016 RS 5 we drove, in that its vocals were too sterile. Now it roars to the limiter, burbles on overrun, and spits outs angry noises on hard downshifts. A rather pleasant and engaging noise for a V6, though it sounds almost identical to the Porsche Macan GTS, which oh-so-coincidentally uses the same V6 powertrain.
