Mid-size sedans are packed with features and fuel economy for the money versus similarly priced SUVs, and while some automakers have pulled their entries, fierce rivals in the class, the Toyota Camry and Honda Accord, remain in the game. The 2023 Accord’s redesign brings fresh styling inside and out along with a revised gasoline-electric hybrid powertrain, while the Toyota Camry has been on sale relatively unchanged since the 2018 model year. We took the hybrid versions of each on a 200-mile route to measure fuel economy and see which one gets better gas mileage in real-world driving, and if fuel economy should be a deciding factor in which one you should buy.
