The Tinnitus Calmer is an ambient noise masker sound midrange focused with a boost that sweeps between 6kHz and 8.35kHz every 10 seconds. The idea of the sweep is to cross problematic tinnitus ringing frequencies in the 7kHz range.
This is part of a series of noise ambient masking sounds used for ear fatigue, or just masking a noisy environment to help the listener relax, concentrate or sleep.
Listening at low volume is best rather than drowning out other sounds. The mind's listening ability may be trained away from sounds, both real and imagined in this fashion.
