Every ship at sea must contend with bad weather. Seakeeping gives us the science to understand and control ship motions in rough water. With seakeeping, we advanced from simply surviving storms to routinely operating in rough waters. This lecture was presented to Pakistan Naval Engineering College and divided into several YouTube Videos. Part 3 covers interactions between waves and the ship. If we know the size of the waves, how do we convert that information into predictions for ship motions?
