Myanmar: Anti-Coup Fighters Launch Rocket Attack, Four Killed & Military Cadets Injured

A rocket attack carried out by anti-coup fighters in Myanmar resulted in four fatalities and 12 injuries, including cadets from the military's elite officer academy, according to junta officials on Monday. The attack, which targeted civilians, drew condemnation from Myanmar's military authorities. The country continues to grapple with escalating armed opposition as the military faces resistance from various armed groups nationwide. Junta officials said the attacks were carried out by members of a local "People's Defence Force" (PDF), who launched 11 rockets striking a hospital, monastery, and hotel. Among the casualties were two monks.
