Here is Part 2, the van in ACTION!    • Campervan In Action! In the wild, liv...

This is a 2007 Toyota Sienna LE FWD. I bought it used in 2019 and have been gradually outfitting it. This is not a permanent van down by the river, and I'm not a motivational speaker (miss you Chris!) This is a solid reliable home-away-from-home for exploration.

For the type of weekend and road trip adventures I do, a minivan camper is awesome. Minivans are the perfect blend of simplicity, reliability, practicality, frugality, and you just look like a regular soccer mom on the road!

Why such a comfortable mattress? After a long day of biking or hiking, when your muscles are sore, getting a solid night sleep is key for recovery and being ready for more the next day.

I've taken this van to Vancouver Island, Whistler, Idaho, the California Redwoods, the Alvord Desert and Steens Mountains in Oregon, and lots of weekend beach or mountain trips. A Sienna is comfortable on freeways, scenic highways, backroads, gravel, and does OK on beat-up dirt roads.
