Fossil fuels and renewables dominate mitigation conversations, but other emission reduction opportunities are hiding in plain sight. Decarbonization roadmaps for the built environment are increasingly clear, and solutions for hard-to-abate emissions—biomass, refrigerants, landfills, regenerative agriculture, hydrogen—are coming into view, and all will play a significant role in delivering global mitigation goals. Leaders from outside the fossil-solar-wind nexus will share these less-explored stories, shining a light on current solutions and future innovations.

Now in its third year, Aspen Ideas: Climate is co-organized by the Aspen Institute and the City of Miami Beach.
