A higher quality version of the highly obscure daily test cycle video for Windows 98. It was previously only available through an upload from 2008 being highly compressed, and it was unknown where the video in question originated. This particular copy has applause at the start of the clip, confirming that there were multiple versions of the video distributed in different forms.

It is revealed here that development began only a month after Windows 95 launched, likely being codenamed Cleveland (before it was renamed to Nashville) before it shifted over to the Memphis project in 1996. Some highly internal locations are shown, such as the "Engine Room", which is essentially the build lab where the operating system is tested.

Despite all the exhaustive testing and welcomed additions, however, the initial gold release of Windows 98 (as well as 98 SE to an extent) proved to be plagued with shortcomings like the inclusion of Internet Explorer being tethered to the shell - which was full of unsquashed bugs at the time, along with it taking a considerable amount of RAM in the background even when the enhanced Explorer file browser isn't in use. Perhaps it should've been called "Windows 99" in the long run since most everyone these days will tell you to use the Second Edition release for legacy PCs.
