This is a jewellery box I made for a family member last Christmas. The wood is Walnut with a Black Locust inlay in the top. I had originally planned to make all the parts by hand but fell ill so opted cut several parts on the CNC and 3D print several of the internal mechanisms. The linkages and key plate are all handmade from brass and silver soldered together. The drawers were cut freehand using the router and the inside was flocked. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to make a key so I just used a store-bought one and the lock was made non-functional to be more or less just a neat and decorative knob. I will probably make a custom key at a later date.
