Born and raised in Gaza and now living in the U.S., Middle East analyst Ahmed Fouad Alkhatib has lost 31 family members since Oct 7, in multiple airstrikes throughout the Gaza Strip. Alkhatib is angry and grieving. But he’s also challenging the narrow narratives on college campuses and in the streets and taking heat for fact-checking Hamas—which was voted in years ago by less than half of today’s Gaza population—as he vows to work with all sides in forging a new path forward.
