At the moment you can grab yourself a bargain phone at this price point from quite a few manufacturers. For instance, the Samsung Galaxy A54 5G occasionally costs just £299 on the UK website, despite boasting a decent camera and respectable specs. Otherwise there's the new Galaxy A25 5G just launched and my full review is hopefully coming soon.

Many of these best budget smartphones in 2024 can run games like Genshin Impact (albeit on low graphics) or at least Call of Duty and PubG. The likes of the Poco X6 and Xiaomi's Redmi Note 13 5G also offer long battery life thanks to the massive batteries stuffed inside.
