The Porsche Boxster market was booming but topped during 2022. Since then, prices have been decreasing consistently. There are, however, big differences between the older generations such as the 986 and 987, and the younger generations like the 981 and 718.

These three things you need to know before buying a Porsche Boxster in 2023:
1. Prices are still falling since the market top of last summer but they are falling at a stable pace. Yet, depreciation rates are lower in the 986 and 987 market than in the 981 and 718 market.
2. Prices are falling the quickest in the 4L GTS and Spyder market. This is rather surprising. Generally speaking, these cars are considered to have relatively stable values.
3. Supply is plummeting, so don’t wait too long if you want to have plenty of choice. Compared to the market top, supply is down by 50%. But this does not per definition mean that prices will start to increase again. To get a better idea of the scarcity level in the market, we have a look at the average advertise time. It turns out that the cars were seller slower and slower during last year. During the last two quarters, though, the situation stabilized. Hence, it is unlikely that decrease rate will increase.
